Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026. Written in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
- From Google Sign-In: your name, email address, and profile photo — Utsho never sees or stores a password, since sign-in is Google-only.
- Profile details you provide: country, what you're studying (e.g. O Level, A Level), and an optional username.
- Learning activity: which lessons you've completed and your own notes you've written, so your Dashboard reflects real progress.
- Anything you submit directly: feedback you send us, or messages sent through the Contact page.
What we don't do
- We don't show ads, anywhere.
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone, ever.
- We don't share your data with third parties except the service providers strictly needed to run Utsho (listed below) — never for marketing purposes.
Who else sees data, and why
Utsho is built on a small number of trusted services, each handling one specific job:
- Google — handles sign-in only.
- Supabase — securely stores your account data, progress, and saved notes.
- Notion — stores lesson content (not personal data).
- Cloudflare — hosts the website itself.
None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes beyond what's needed to provide their service to us.
Cookies & local storage
Utsho uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember a few preferences. This is functional, not tracking-based — Utsho doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
If you're under 18
Utsho is built primarily for students, many of whom are minors. We only collect what's needed to make the platform work (see above) — never more. If you're a parent or guardian with questions about your child's account or data, contact us any time using the details below.
Deleting your data
You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We'll confirm once it's done.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
